Tony Cleland has extensive experience in the primary sector. At age 25, Tony and his wife bought their first farm in Southland. They have since gone on to grow their farming business, investing in several farms in Southland. They also own and actively work at Carrick Winery in Central Otago.
Tony is director, and co-founder of FarmRight, an investment management company focusing on the agribusiness sector.
He also served as director of FMG Insurance for 16 years, including 6 years as chair, where he played a pivotal role in growth and trust in the organisation. He retired from this position in 2023.
