Louise Cullen

Louise Cullen is a dairy farmer from the Waikato, working with her husband to continue his family’s farming legacy, which began in 1924.

Prior to her farming career, Louise worked in a range of industries, including:

  • research science (using her PhD in forest ecology from Lincoln University)
  • environmental consultancy
  • the not-for-profit sector
  • commercial management.

Louise combines strategic thinking and curiosity with a stewardship and service ethos to help organisations thrive while staying connected to their purpose. She is a director at Tatua Co-operative Dairy Company and AgResearch. Previous governance roles have focused on the not-for-profit and community sectors, along with serving on primary sector working groups.
