Barry BrownBarry Brown joined Chapman Tripp in 1972 and became a partner in 1980. Prior to retiring, Barry was a consultant in Chapman Tripp’s corporate and commercial team, which advises New Zealand and multinational clients on mergers and acquisitions, as well as securities law.

During his time with Chapman Tripp, Barry was chair of the Board and managing partner of the firm’s Wellington office. Barry is a member of the Auditor Oversight Committee of the New Zealand Financial Markets Authority and a former member of the New Zealand Stock Exchange’s Market Surveillance Panel. He holds a law degree with honours from Victoria University of Wellington.
