The team was kept busy throughout the 4 days of the annual event at Mystery Creek — having discussions with farmers about disease management, and working with them on their NAIT accounts.
Our Chief Executive Steve Stuart, Chairman Barry Harris and other members of the OSPRI Board and regional committees were also at the stand, talking to farmers and helping with queries.
We used our time at Fieldays to gather feedback from farmers on lifetime traceability, and how they manage their stock movements. An overwhelming number of farmers who visited the OSPRI stand said they understood the benefits that animal traceability gave them. As expected, a majority said they record their stock movements online or via another online stock management system, but there is still a number of farmers who use stock agents or the OSPRI contact centre for this.
Members of our technology solutions team were also at the event to talk about the first release of MyOSPRI, our new online system. Farmers who stopped by got the opportunity to see how it worked, and ask questions about the new online farm-to-farm ASD function. Thanks to everyone who agreed to be a MyOSPRI testing partner, we'll be in touch soon to organise testing our future releases.
The daily scanner prize draw proved popular once again with a lot of entries in the draw — congratulations to the lucky winners.
Thanks to everyone who visited our stand and took the time to talk and share experiences with our team, we really enjoyed meeting you all.
