The National Pest Management Plan (NPMP) for Bovine Tuberculosis is given legal effect by the Biosecurity (National Bovine Tuberculosis Pest Management Plan) Order 1998 (the Order).
TBfree NZ is the management agency for the NPMP, pursuant to Section 100 of the Biosecurity Act 1993 and Clause 6 of the Order.
A National Operational Plan (NOP) to meet NPMP objectives has been prepared by TBfree NZ, as required under Section 100B of the Biosecurity Act 1993. You can download the NOP below.
The NPMP is partly funded by levies on the slaughter of cattle and deer payable under the Biosecurity (Bovine Tuberculosis—Cattle and Deer Levy) Order 2016.
