PICA delegates

A PICA delegate is a specific type of PICA account that can be assigned to an existing NAIT number and will have access to the NAIT number details and can perform actions on behalf of the PICA. The PICA delegate does not have any legal obligations to perform actions on the NAIT number, the ultimate responsibility to ensure the NAIT account is kept up to date remains with the PICA farmer.

The PICA delegate account is designed to help the PICA farmer or give NAIT number access to another user without having to share the login credentials for the PICA farmer account. It is recommended that if you would like other people, such as employees or family members to assist with your obligations under the NAIT scheme then you appoint them as a PICA delegate so that OSPRI is permitted to work with them.

Once your delegate has registered with NAIT, you can assign them to your NAIT number through the NAIT number details page following the below instructions:

  • Log into your NAIT account
  • Select “Manage NAIT Activities”
  • Select “View/Update NAIT number registration details”
  • Under the delegates section of this page select “+ Add New”
  • Using the search page, locate your PICA delegate and select “Assign”
  • If you wish to add an expiry date on this delegate assignment, add the date in the box, otherwise leave this blank.
  • Select “Continue”

You can also edit and remove the PICA delegates from this page by selecting the appropriate option and confirming your change.
