If an animal dies on your property, either naturally or as a home kill, this animal must be updated to have a status of dead in the NAIT system.

To do this you can follow the same steps as updating your animal and mark it as dead. You will be asked to provide the date of death, how the animal died and whether the carcass has any defects. Click here to find out how to update your animal.
