It is a requirement to maintain accurate contact information so that we can contact you in the case of a biosecurity incursion.

You can update your contact details by clicking ‘My details’ on your PICA homepage.

Moving farm?

A NAIT number is fixed to a NAIT location. In the event that you move to a new farm you must either:

You will be able to keep the same logon details for to access the NAIT number at your new location.

You will need to ensure you record any NAIT animal movements from their previous NAIT number to their new NAIT number.

Protecting your privacy

When you record a NAIT movement, your full name, NAIT number and property name will be displayed to the other Person in Charge of Animals (PICA). This is so the other PICA can be sure they are recording a movement to or from the correct location.

These details will also appear for any PICA that uses the ‘Search for a NAIT number’ functionality. To return a result, the PICA needs to provide two correct pieces of information. This prevents random searches.

You can control whether your name appears to other PICAs in movements and search results.

Choosing a Property Name

For each NAIT number, you can choose a property name that is used to identify the location. We recommend you choose a property name that other PICA farmers will recognise.

It’s up to you how much information you choose to provide.

Remember, this information can be used to help other PICAs make sure they are recording movements to or from the correct location.

What information can OSPRI provide?

We will never give out your name or contact information to another PICA without your permission.

If another PICA needs help to locate your NAIT number, they must provide two correct pieces of information such as your name, farm name, trading name, region etc.
