How to prepare a CSV file for registering animals

This file can be used to upload animal registration information to the NAIT system.

Your CSV file will need to include all of the column headings, in the correct order. This includes headings for optional columns you are leaving blank.

ColumnHeadingFormat
ADate Of BirthDate information must be in a recognisable format, e.g. dd/mm/yyyy, dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss, yyyy-mm-dd etc.
Please note any time component will not be stored in the database.
The date must be on or before the current date. If you do not know the animal's date of birth you can enter 'unknown', although this will mean the animal does not have lifetime traceability.
BNAIT Number Of BirthplaceMust be a valid NAIT number. If you do not know the NAIT number of the animal's birthplace you can enter 'unknown', although this will mean the animal does not have lifetime traceability.
CNAIT Number At First RegistrationMust be a valid NAIT number.
