Westland aerial pest ops special focus

Date 20 April 2018

The winter’s TBfree possum control operations in the South Island are detailed online in a series of landing pages on the website of programme manager OSPRI.

A dedicated Westland webpage explains the details of TBfree aerial possum control operations proposed for the region.

Special focus pages for three South Island regions – Molesworth, Dunedin and Westland give insight into the aerial operations required for TB eradication in these important areas.

Ongoing consultation with local farmers, hunters and people who explore the West Coast’s unique coastal mountain native forests help explain the reasons and benefits behind the push to eradicate bovine TB from Westland, and how these operations will help create a TB-free future for all New Zealanders.
